Taking to Tenjune for a big Stoli sponsored afterparty, Hilary Duff was all smiles as she promoted her new movie “Stay Cool” as part of the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday night (April 23).

Socializing with party attendees, the former Disney starlet joked around with fellow guest Chevy Chase when she wasn’t busy with boyfriend Mike Comrie.

As for her romance with her hockey star beau, Duff said, “I think that we are kinda private. It’s impossible to live your life completely that way when people are waiting outside your house all the time.”

Continuing on about having a Hollywood relationship, she says it’s hard when “crazy things are written about you that are not true”

So what exactly does Hilary do to avoid the crazy rumors? “Try to let it roll off your back and be confident in your own relationship. Support each other that’s how we’ve made it work.”

Hilary is working on her acting career as well as keeping the relationship strong. In her new movie, she plays a high school senior who goes after a famous actor at the prom.

On top of a movie, she has filmed for Law & Order: SVU (airing April 28) and has a few new movies in the making.
